Kenworth Kuhl's dream of a fabulous confection has landed him in the Jolly Times Rest Home, victim of uncontrollable drooling. Nevertheless, son Joseph and Joe's Cousin Zack decide to promote the strange chocolate dessert pastry as a rival to the King Korndog. But, as TV chef Davy Narsood expresses interest, and as ace newscaster Blip Wufser sees newsworthy possibilities, sinister forces may be intruding.

The score on our SMUTSCALE INDEX
[0--10] for screamers this book (especially sweet as a gift) The Chocolate Korndog is a pale and insignificant "1". Bapsie Kuhl's flatulence becomes a matter of more than passing alarm (so to speak); the vicious Junior Trilbend attempts to molest a well-prepared young woman (poor Junior!).

Here is a passage from The Chocolate Korndog. The scene takes place at Mello Fello, the pizza place. Joe's evil little brother Richie has actually ordered Joe a pizza. Patella and Zack watch.

Richie was still standing there. Ricky was sitting at the next table with their pizzas. "Hey, Joey. You want I should sprinkle some good dust on that pizza? Make you sparkle, bro!" Richie was talking about doping my pizza, right there in front of everybody. He laughed through his nose, and I thought about Ricky's plan for me to take the rap for some crime they will commit. "Just kidding, scouts!" he hollered.
Richie got kicked out of the Boy Scouts for some crime back when we had Scouts in Balona. That was before most of the parents figured they were too busy for such childish stuff. But then parents heard the glad news that video games improve your eye-hand coordination. Every kid needs improved eye-hand coordination. This was a better excuse than most, so a lot of Balona dads got their kids video games instead of Boy Scouts.
Besides, most Boy Scouts are noisy, smelly, unpredictable, and eat a lot. My dad got me a video game, but of course Richie broke it right away, so I was out Scouts and video games both.           MORE Chocolate
