Well, here we are again, and I have some news to report, even though it concerns a truly despise-worthy ex-boyfriend named Joseph Oliver Kuhl. I am reporting this because it is my duty as a journalist and potentially published poet (definitely NOT by infamous publisher Ms. Verga Bless, a certifiable vampire). It has to do with a new book about stuff that happened in Balona about spirits and ghosts and spectral dangers in our town. Joey didn't actually write this book. It was written by an author not as famous as Philodendron Runcible, our really famous local romance writer who actually sells books out of the back of her car trunk. But Joey is the subject of the book, and it gives the impression that he is actually talking to the reader of the story.
I come off sort of like a pain in the book, but it's fiction, so that's the best you can say about it. And my friend Zack Burnross is sort of quoted, too, but is not described very favorably. In fact, Zack comes across as sort of a wimp, where Joey is described as a hero. (Fat chance that ever happens.)
And the story (Joey calls it Community Spirits) also has in it a real cute little guy from the Delta City Beacon, whose name I won't mention because he already has a big head.
When you get right down to it, the story is pretty interesting. In places it's exciting, especially where Joey almost falls off of Mr. D.H. Carp's store roof and Mr. Don Keyshot saves him.
And also where Joey almost slips and falls off of the Balona Water Tower where he went to look at orbs. (Mr. Keyshot saved him from there, too.)
You can see the cover of the book (a scary sight in itself) in the BalonaBooks catalog. You could also let me know how I'm doing as a blogger by e-mailing me.    Patella's E-Mail
