Some of you are thinking, What are those bunnies doing up there? Well, 2011 is the year of the rabbit in the Chinese calendar, so we are celebrating them because they are strong and sturdy and jump around a lot, kind of like me, except I am a lot bigger and not very jumpy.
Anyway, we are so happy that handsome Mr. Joaquin Peralta's new BalonaBooks are getting such great reviews. They are (first one): Bandits! and is the story of a kid who runs off from the family goat farm to make his fortune in the Gold Rush, but gets kidnapped by cutthroat bandits. And (second one, but just as fine): Emma Snow Emma Snow is the story of Emma and her brother who get taken against their will to the California Gold Rush and sold into sort of slavery. What a great story!
Speaking of great stories, our cute curly-headed editor Jon Riis has now finished his first two BalonaBooks. He calls the first one Something for Nothing and it is a fantasy that features very strange characters, not just the usual strange Balona characters. It has received fine reviews. I can guarantee it will tickle you!
Jon's second new BalonaBook is sort of weird, having me as its hero Woman Times One includes a genius dentist and some really bratty teens you will love to hate. It is receiving "mixed reviews," on account of younger teens don't seem to understand it. Oh-well, goes with the territory, like they say.
You can buy books right on this Web site with a credit card or through your regular vendor. Unfortunately, my checking account balance is sort of low, so I'm using the free Balona Library which is now part of my rich friend Claire's cybercafe she calls "Balona-dot-Com" on Front Street.
Since I'm feeling pretty perky you could e-mail me.    Patella's E-Mail
