Well, you are probably recovering from too much food and drink, what with New Year being just around the corner behind us. I am not feeling my usual perky self, since I've got this sore on my neck that won't heal up and I feel pretty weak all the time, too. But my publisher, famous Ms. Verga Bless who I see every Tuesday and Saturday night for (not free!) financial counseling, she tells me to strive on, eat good food that's rich in iron, and to always pay my publisher bills. Those bills do seem to get bigger every week. None of my poems printed up yet. Anyway, Tery Ordway's story is selling big time. It's Nobody's Fault, the story about Mr. Junior Kuhl's adventures in the big San Francisco earthquake just over a hundred years ago, a story which in the book he tells to my little friend Tery, a real smart kid. Even Joey Kuhl's book, the one in which he comes off as a hero, sort of, is being read by a bunch of guys. Mr. Don Keyshot admits that Joey's book Community Spirits will make a good beginning-a-new-year or birthday gift and that just because it's a ghost story doesn't mean you couldn't read it and get a nice chill from it in January. Mr. Keyshot says people should also read Mr. Joaquin Peralta's new book that's just now on the market. You can buy books right on this Web site with a credit card or through your regular vendor. Unfortunately, my checking account balance is sort of low, so I'm using the free Balona Library which is now part of my rich friend Claire's cybercafe she calls "Balona-dot-Com" on Front Street. Since I'm not so perky you could e-mail me. Patella's E-Mail |
