So I hope you're getting ready for presents. I expect a lot. Actually, I don't ever get much. But this year I'm getting some financial counseling from Ms. Verga Bless, the publisher of my poems. Actually, the book isn't published yet since I still owe Ms. Bless money for the book number, the content editor, and the copy editor, and I haven't signed the special contracts for the book cover and the designer's fee. Ms. Bless explains all this in her confidential counseling sessions which I'm not supposed to mention. She requires us artists to save our money so we'll have enough to pay the fees. "You're going to need money if you expect to become rich and famous," which I do expect. But maybe not this year. You could click on this Verga's Blessing link for interesting information, like how the book was probably almost given a star by the School Library Journal reviewer. Ms. Verga Bless doesn't want me to tell about her, since she's sort of a shy person, never coming out during the daytime. I have to go to our counseling sessions at night, where I pay my fee and then get to go into the back room of her temporary office on Front Street and lie down on a couch while she sits nearby talking to me in a soft voice. I sort of go to sleep and wake up tired and with a sore on my neck, but she doesn't mind me nodding off. As long as I pay my fees. She has such a soft sweet voice. Anyway, Mr. Joaquin Peralta's story is on sale here now. It's An Almost Private Eye, which is about the adventures of a young Balona man whose name I will not let pass by my lip since he is an ex-boyfriend (who will not admit he is). I won't mention his name except that Community Spirits has Mr. Joey Kuhl doing stuff in the story that you shouldn't teach your kids to do. Joey tends to exaggerate stuff, as he more or less admits in that book. You could buy some BalonaBooks as presents for a kid, a mom, or a grandpa right here on this Web site. You could also let me know how I'm doing as a blogger by e-mailing me. Patella's E-Mail |
