I'll start with the biggest deal of BalonaBooks to date. It's that our cute editor and author, Jon Riis, has now published his second work of fiction, and it's already getting excited reviews. It's Woman Times One, a really great story about a young woman who shall be nameless, since she's actually me. That's sort of embarassing, but it's actually more fun.

   My book about Ms. Verga Bless got raves reviews in School Library Journal and other fine rags. ("Rag" is a respectful term when it's used by us journalists!) So you deserve to read it.

   News: Jon's other (yes OTHER) new story which maybe I have mentioned before is also getting nice reviews. Jon's story is about my friend Zacky Burnross, a huge giant, a weird fairy, and a great new friend who is not only very smart, but very little.

   And other works by Mr. Joaquin Peralta are flying off the shelves: An Almost Private Eye and Bandits! and, my personal favorite because the hero is a girl is Emma Snow. You can order them right on this Web site.

   I mentioned already but I'll say it again, you can buy books right on this Web site via PayPal here or with your credit card. You could, for example, find a book by me and Claire (a real rich person now since she inherited it from a real bad person). But Buds is really pretty good. And me and Claire both get a royalty if you buy it. And that great author Gail Giles recommends it highly.
